Bangkok Halloween Nightlife Report

Well I guess I had better get something up for the Halloween events I have been notified about. This year I had initially decided to dress up as a filthy farang backpacker but have since opted for the more discreet Batman uniform I bought back in 1989. We'll see though because the jury is still not out on my 'giant head Thaksin' or the 'orange vested Sangsom'ed motorbiker' costumes either. Okay anough blather and on with the venue review:

Narcissus - My first choice and likely where you will find me at some point on Oct 31. You can click the thumbnail above for a blow up of the party flier. Trancy House, silly lights and lasers, and expensive drinks. Oh yeah also, fly bitches allover the shop. Consistantly fun and an ideal place to go if you're into dancing hard on your favorite substances. Beware the pee pee test farangs. Q-Bar - Yeah yeah I know this one is obvious but it's been consistently good year after year on Halloween. If you are looking for sexy brown bodies sweating away in their Halloween best, this is where you should go. Halloween is billed as a Hip Hop night (yawn), but hopefully if you get drunk enough you can forget you heard all these same songs 1 million times already. Silom Soi 4 - Silom Soi 4 is actually a lane lined with unpretenious bars and clubs. This soi gets really wild on Halloween and I don't think I have to tell you why. If there is one thing I know about our queer brothers and sisters is that they seem to really dig Halloween or playing 'dress up' in general. I was here a couple years ago and had a blast. It may also be a good place to swill beer before heading off to Lucifer's disco just down the road in Patpong, which is open until 2:00am (hint, hint). Expect to see a lot of clever and colorful costumes on soi 4 but nowhere near the sexy bitch quotient of Narcissus or Q-Bar. No photos for this one. Just close your eyes and imagine a rainbow with high pitched squealing.

Honorable mention: Mystique is said to have a good Halloween party this Sunday as well billed as a hip hop night. What a shock!
