Ah, the Genius of Marketing....

I bet somebody gets paid a bunch of money to come up with advertising genius like this.

Remember back in January when we gave you first-hand accounts of the tsunami hitting Patong Beach on Phuket? Remember how the likes of BBC World and CNN went on and on about Phuket, unaware for quite a while that there is more to Thailand.

If anything has raised the world's awareness of Phuket and Patong Beach, it was that tsunami.

You probably can't go anywhere in the Western world now and find somebody who hasn't heard of Patong beach.

So imagine my surprise to see the Impiana Phuket Cabana's boldy advertising,

"No one sleeps closer to Patong Beach than Impiana guests".

Even their website boasts, "...no one sleeps closer to the beach than the Cabana guests."
