The following gallery of Thailand photos was taken on a digital camera between 2001-2004. Many of these places you may recognize and you might even see yourself if you were out on the prowl or vacationing during this time. If you have a set of photos you would like to include drop me a line.
Koh Samui [ 73 pictures ]
This large series was all taken on Koh Samui during June/July primarily around Lamai Beach. Everything is covered here from beaches, elephants and tigers to girls and foam party's. (2002)
Bangkok [ 49 pictures ]
Pictures taken from Bangkok - City of Angels. What can you say? 50% Bieruit, 50% Miami, but all good. Smog, traffic jams, disco's, girls, street food, temples, this place has it all. (2002 - 2004)
Bangkok Zoo [ 9 pictures ]
These photo's are all taken from the Bangkok Zoo (2002)
Chao Praya River [ 28 pictures ]
Photos from a day on the Chao Praya River. This river has a ton of history, is filled with channels and is an integral part of the city. Tours are also very cheap. (2002)
Koh Chang [ 36 pictures ]
Koh Chang is Thailand’s largest island after Phuket and is also one of its most laid back and less commercial. It has long been a paradise for hippies and couples and although not overly busy does include some of the best beaches and beautiful scenes found anywhere. If you’re looking for a quiet place to get away from Bangkok for a weekend, this is the ticket. (2004)
Wat Pho [ 5 pictures ]
These are all taken at the beautiful Wat Pho which is also a teaching center for Thai based massage. (2002)
Anthong Marine Park [ 19 pictures ]
Anthong Marine Park is perhaps one of the most beautiful and unspoiled locations in all of Thailand. The park consists of hundreds of islands near Koh Samui and features coral reefs, amazing snorkeling and golden beaches. This marine park run by the tourism authority (TAT) is closed to commercial tourism and therefore is fairly pristine. A must see! (2003)
Pei Pei Island [ 18 pictures ]
Pei Pei Island is another quite famous locale due to the fact that many scenes from the movie 'The Beach' were shot here. The island has become a bit too commercial but it's also still home to some of the most amazing natural beauty in the entire region or anywhere else. (2002)
Phuket [ 33 pictures ]
In the south Phuket riegns supreme as the largest and most popular vacation spot in the Kingdom. It is no wonder why as this place truly has something for everyone. These photos showcase some of the highlights of this gorgous island paradise. (2002-2003)
Wat Pra Khao [ 20 pictures ]
Wat Pra Khao is the largest and most famous of Bangkok's Temples and is also the location of the famed emerald Buddha. A truly amazing place that should not be missed. (2003)
Muay Thai [ 22 pictures ]
Muay Thai is Thailand's national sport. Every province in Thailand has a Muay Thai league with regional champions and regular events. These shots were all taken from Phuket and serve as entertainment for tourists. (2002)
